Lessons and Training
Dublin Stables

2012 Lesson Schedule is ready!  Sign up now!
It will begin March 27, 2012 and go to November 15, 2012 divided into 3 sessions.

Dublin Stables specializes in providing the individual rider with a foundation to learn and advance in all the aspects of
horsemanship.  Emphasis is on safety and learning to communicate with your equine partner.  Classes are small with
only two students per session to ensure individualized attention.  We  provide instruction in hunt seat, western, trail
and lower levels of dressage.  Students may also gain experience in showing at our annual show and, by appointment,
attending local shows.

**  Lesson are 60 minutes.  Students groom and tack up before riding or unsaddle after their 30-40 minutes of riding.  **

Spring session, March 27, 2012 to May 24, 2012
Tuesday,  Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15.
Summer session, June 12, 2012 to August 16, 2012
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15.
Fall session, September 11, 2012 to November 15, 2012
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15.

What to Expect: The first part of each class will provide students with the opportunity to learn how to safely groom and
saddle a horse in preparation for riding.  This is time well spent bonding with the horses and learning about safety on
the ground.  Then students will learn to ride from their horse partners with some assistance from the instructor.

The first few weeks may run over time because there’s a lot to learn in the beginning.  Please be prompt (or even up to
15 minutes early) so we may stay on schedule.  Our experienced students are a big help with the progress of timing.
Parents may help groom too if they don’t have other children to look after while at the stable.  This can be a great
opportunity to spend time with your child while getting a therapeutic workout, mentally and physically!

Cost:
Each session is to be paid in full upon signing up.    May sign up after the 1st week if there are still openings .  No new
students once half way through session.  Checks may be made payable to Dublin Stables.

Guidelines and Rules for Students and Parents

Call as soon as you know you will miss a lesson.  We will make every attempt to work you into another class time.

Due to our limited space availability,  refunds will not be offered.

Drive slowly on our driveway.  No faster than 5 to 10 MPH tops!  We have children and animals everywhere!

Boots or shoes with a smooth sole and 1 inch heel are required in order to ride. If proper shoes/boots are not worn to
class, to be safe, we will work on ground exercises with their horse.  No exceptions!

A riding helmet is also required – one of ours may be borrowed. You may want to buy one in the future.

Dress appropriately for the weather, although long pants are generally more comfortable than shorts.

Keep children under control at all times.  Our lesson horses are gentle, but even the most "bomb proof" horse can
spook.

Riding gloves are optional.

Training - Own the horse you always wanted!

Whether your horse spooks, refuses to trailer load or just doesn't seem to be working up to its
potential, we can help.  Natural horsemanship-based training will help any horse.  Cost depends on
individual training needs.
